THIS EASY, CREAMY MEXICAN RICE MILK DRINK HAS A HINT OF CINNAMON AND VANILLA THAT ADDS THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF SWEETNESS. SERVE OVER ICE FOR A REFRESHING TREAT.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (250 mL) uncooked long-grain white rice
- 5 cups (1.25 L) water for soaking
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- ½ cup (125 mL) sweetened condensed milk
DIRECTIONS
- Rinse the rice and soak it in the water for 4 hours. Add the rice, soaking water, and remaining ingredients to the Deluxe Cooking Blender.
- Replace and lock the lid. Turn the wheel to select the ALT MILK setting; press the wheel to start.
- When the timer is up, strain the mixture through the strainer bag into a bowl. Serve over ice.
